RRC Game Development: Summer 2025

Flexible

Skilled, motivated students from Red River College's Game Development program are ready to support your project. Students in the Game Development program are trained to tackle both creative and technical challenges in collaborative, team-based environments. With a strong emphasis on hands-on learning, students build real games as part of their training, developing a portfolio that reflects their capabilities in design, development, and production. Supported by experienced faculty, they’re prepared to contribute to meaningful, industry-relevant projects. Participating employers gain access to curious, capable, and career-ready students who are eager to apply their skills to meaningful challenges. Projects are divided into three distinct phases, each requiring 60 hours of student work. Upon completing each phase, students are paid a $1,400 stipend—fully covered through Riipen and the Government of Canada’s Innovative Work-Integrated Learning (I-WIL) Initiatives program. There is no cost to you. This is an exclusive, invite-only opportunity. If you were not invited to participate, your project match request will be declined. Project timeline: Request to match your project: May 20 - 30, 2025 Program administrators will support you in setting up your projects and matching them to the experience. Onboarding session: May 26 at 2pm CST/ 3pm EST. Register now Students invited to join: June 2 - 6, 2025 Students will be assigned to your project in teams Project start date: June 9, 2025 Max end date: July 25, 2025 All projects must be completed to be eligible for payment For more program details, see our  landing page for employers
