[Your organization] is developing or testing a product or service aimed at improving climate resilience—such as energy-efficient tech, green infrastructure tools, or water-saving devices. Learners will help explore the market landscape to evaluate demand, feasibility, and potential customer segments.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

The project outcomes should align with beginner level capability. Polygence Internship students are new to or are acquiring foundational skills in the subject area of the project. The deliverables are noted with a 4 week window as the foundation. For the cohort listed to start June 15th, the deliverables should be tracked over a 6 week period. You will be assigned a team of 2-3 students for your project and the outcomes/deliverables should be achievable within 40-60 hours per student.


Week 1: Landscape & Competitor Analysis

  • Research similar products and innovations in your sector.
  • Identify trends and success factors in green entrepreneurship.


Week 2: Target Market Segmentation

  • Define ideal customer profiles (e.g., municipalities, homeowners, businesses).
  • Conduct basic persona development based on research.


Week 3: Data Collection & Feedback Gathering

  • Design and distribute surveys or interviews to validate market needs.


Week 4: Data Summary 

  • Analyze data and synthesize early insights.
  • Provide supervisors with a summary of the data collected within the surveys
